I tried Stroller Strides last week and it was a great workout and really fun! I only wish I would have tried it out earlier when my kids were younger. They do a great job of keeping the kids engaged during the workout so it really is fun for both mom and baby.

I highly recommend any moms with young babies/toddlers out there to give it a try. Stroller Strides classes will be free for this entire week so you can see if you like it. Here is all the info from them:

What is Stroller Strides?
Stroller Strides is a total fitness program for moms that they can do with their baby or stroller-age child. The hour-long workout includes power walking and intervals of body toning, using exercise tubing and the stroller. Taught by nationally certified instructors who are trained in pre- and post-natal fitness, it's a great workout for any fitness level.

Fitness for Mom, Fun for Baby
In addition to providing a great full body workout for moms, we engage the children throughout our classes through songs and activities, keeping baby entertained while mom exercises. We welcome moms and babies from 6 weeks to any age that they’ll stay in a stroller (usually about 4 years old).

More than an Exercise Program
Our program also offers our Luna Mom Playgroup at no additional cost that consists of weekly playgroups after class, monthly moms night out activities and special community events. Don't put it off any longer... come join all the Stroller Strides fun!

We hope to see you there!

Stoner Handmade Market

I don't have a "regular" deal to post tonight, but I do have something that you want to know about: Stoner Handmade Market. And if you consider buying something super cool that all benefits a really great mission - then this really is a great deal in my opinion!

Here's what Stoner Handmade Market is all about from my friend, Kris Stoner -

So, this summer my girls, Kelsey and Courtney are going to Kenya. They are going on a mission trip with The 410 Bridge, an organization who partners with communities in Kenya. I am so excited about what they are going to learn and how they are going to grow. I love that my girls would choose going on a mission trip over doing anything else in the world. Sure, mission trips are fun. But, I think what they love most of all is getting to know the people and having God open their eyes to what He is doing in lives everywhere.

I'm even more excited because I get to go as well. I will be leading (my first time ever) the team of young adults from our church. I love this team that is going. They are world changers. I am honored that I get to serve along side them. (And I love that I will finally get to be on a mission trip with my daughters).

So, in preparation for this trip, our family has a lot of money to raise. . .$7,000.00. Yep--you read that right.

We put our heads together and decided that we should put our creativity to work for us. We've all been busy crafting and creating for the past couple of months in preparation for the:

Stoner Handmade Market

Saturday, January 21 (that's this Saturday!)

Everyone is welcome and all proceeds go toward funding this mission trip to Kenya. For a preview check out the pictures below. It's going to be fun. Hope to see you there!

The 2nd Look Boutique is gearing up for their next sale on February 16-18. They are taking consignors now and you can sign-up here. I know I'm always in a de-clutter mood this time of year and this is a great way to clear out some of that old stuff and make a little extra cash.

The 2nd Look Boutique is held at the New Horizons Fellowship Annex in Apex. Complete details can be found on their website.

Cici's Pizza - $1.99 Day

Cici's Pizza in Apex and Cary are having a Customer Appreciation Day on Thursday, January 19. They will be having $1.99 buffets all day long!

I've never been to the Cary location, but we love the Cici's in Apex (it's in Beaver Creek over near Petsmart). The staff is very nice and it's always clean with plenty of fresh pizza.

Is it bad when I walk in and the manager says, "We have your veggie pizza over there!"? Blush. I guess we go there a lot. :) It's great because kids 3 and under eat free all the time (at least at the Apex location, not sure if other locations have that same deal?).

Be sure to mark your calendar for a pizza day on the 19th. We'll definitely be there sometime that day!
