The Apex police department is offering a free child ID kit. Each kit includes a CD that contains the child's biographical information, a photo, and fingerprints.
You can get your kit the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 3:00-7:00pm at 205 Saunders Street in Apex.
Note: you do not have to be an Apex resident - kits are available to anyone!
