Free Jeff Galloway Training Seminar

For all of you runners out there, you might be familiar with the name Jeff Galloway. He has a very popular training program for runners (one that I followed when training for my races).

Jeff Galloway will be giving a FREE training seminar on Saturday, April 23rd from 9-11:30am at the NC Museum of Art.

Old Navy Sale

Old Navy is having it's One Day Wonder sale all day on Saturday, April 23. There is a special preview sale from 4-8pm tonight if you follow the instructions on their Facebook page here. Polo shirts will be $6 on Friday (and I think Saturday too?) and then lots of items will be $6 on Saturday including jeans, pants, shorts, and skirts. I'm not sure if that includes ALL of those items or just selected ones - either way there are good deals to be found!

Tornado Relief

My heart goes out to all those affected by the tornadoes. There are several things going on around the area right now if you want to help provide relief to families in need:

(1) Raleigh Tornado Fundraiser - purchase items and services donated by local businesses with proceeds going to the tornado victims.

(2) Easter Basket Donations: bring any Easter basket items for children affected by Saturday's storms to the PetSmart parking lot (Apex) from 12-1pm on Friday, April 22. (Items needed: baskets, candy, coloring books, crayons, stickers, stuffed animals, small toys, etc.)

The Easter baskets will be distributed by Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Look for the Paramount Realty /SearchApexHomes.com black Camry to drop off your donations.

(3)WRAL also has a list of organizations that you can donate money to.

Cupcake Kids

Several kids in our neighborhood have organized a Cupcake Kids sale this Saturday, April 9 from 12:30-2:00pm to benefit the organization Sixty Feet. "Sixty Feet is an action-based organization created to bring hope and restoration to the imprisoned children of Africa."

There will be cupcakes and lemonade for sale with all proceeds going directly to Sixty Feet. It will be held at the Walden Creek Neighborhood pool area which is located at:
